Causal Influence Diagrams for Decision-making

Influence diagrams are limited in decision-making under intervention, which due to inability to distinguish between correlation and causal relationship. To overcome this limitation of influence diagrams, this paper proposes Causal Influence Diagram, which has an advantage in testing causality among variables and makes decision-making under intervention more effective. We outline how Causal Influence Diagram would be constructed based on Collective Intelligence, making the decision becomes more reliable, more scientific and less risky. This study applies the proposed integrated approach to decision support for hot dog order strategy for a vendor. The application results provide insights even an intervention from outside.
