Study of ruthenium behavior in alkali chloride melts using electronic absorption spectroscopy

2019
The behavior of ruthenium(III) chloro-species was studied in the ternary LiCl–KCl–CsCl eutectic based melts in the temperature range of 280–750 °C using electronic absorption spectroscopy. The temperature range of existence of stable ruthenium(III) chloro-species was determined. The mechanism of RuCl3 concentration decrease in the melt was defined. The behavior of ruthenium(III) chloro-species was studied in the ternary LiCl–KCl–CsCl eutectic based melts in the temperature range of 280–750 °C using electronic absorption spectroscopy.
