A method for improving system stability of inkjet printing systems

A method (400) for stabilizing the print quality of an inkjet printing system (100) described below. The number of drop sizes with which an image to be printed template is scanned is reduced to provide a control bit for no longer used droplet size. This control bit is used to generate pulses for regeneration of the inkjet printing system (100) of the nozzle assemblies (200), if necessary pre-fire.
