Study on the mechanism and suppression method of transient overvoltage in high-speed trains

High-speed train in the running time to produce transient overvoltage, may cause the train group safety accident, resulting in the body of the body of the potential rise, to the safety of the vehicle electrical equipment to bring threats, so it is necessary to high-speed train transient over voltage analysis. Based on the circuit structure of a certain type of train group, this paper analyzes the production mechanism and distribution characteristics of transient overvoltage, and operates the field test of overvoltage. The results show that the pre-inductive transient overvoltage amplitude of the high-speed motor vehicle group can be as high as 207.5kv, and the body potential 11.5kv. The vehicle overvoltage caused by the temporary overvoltage on both sides of the ground resistor can be effectively reduced by the direct grounding and parallel capacitor on both sides of the ground resistor. The above conclusions can provide a theoretical basis for further study of the transient overvoltage of high-speed trains.
