Determination of the Sense of Burgers Vector by Plane-Wave X-ray Topography

Dislocation images of a Si single crystal are observed by three-crystal topography with (+, +, -) setting. The images change with the diffraction condition of the topograph. The image taken out of the exact Bragg condition is sharp and its position is slightly displaced due to the strain induced around the dislocation. The sense of the Burgers vector is determined by the relation between the direction of the displacement and the diffraction condition of the topograph.
