The article outlines a background for development of the regional technological platform “Informational-telecommunication and space technology for innovative progress in Siberia” The basic concept is represented and the main objectives of the technological platform are specified herein. The example of the successful implementation of the representation system of geospatial satellite data for disaster monitoring and forecasting in Russian Emergency Committee is briefly made.
