An isoflavone and isoflavone glycoside from heart wood of Pterocarpus marsupium.

An isoflavone and isoflavone glycoside has been isolated from the heartwood of Pterocarpus marsupium. On the basis of chemical and spectral analysis (UV, IR, EIMS, 1H and 13CNMR) compounds were identified as 6, 7, 3', 4' tetramethoxy isoflavone and 2', 4', 5' trimethoxy isoflavone 6–0 rutinoside.
