Diagnostic value of color Doppler and imaging technology of B-flow in vertebral artery type of cervical spondylopathy

2012
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of color Doppler and imaging technology of B-flow in vertebral artery type of cervical spondylopathy. Methods The vertebral artery of 93 cases with cervical spondylopathy was observed and analyzed by color Doppler and imaging technology of B-flow from the aspects of shape, structure, flow imaging and dynamics.53 cases were diagnosed as vertebral artery type of cervical spondylopathy, and the patients (28 cases) whose diameter of unilateral vertebral artery 2.7 mm were taken the determination of hemodynamic index of vertebral artery, peak of shrinkage velocity (PSV),end diastolic velocity (EDV),mean velocity (Vm),resistance index (RI),pulsatility index (PI),and analyzed and compared with the contralateral vertebral artery. Results B-flow could reveal the blood flow, vascular wall structure, surrounding soft organization, and others clearly at the same time. The ultrasound of vertebral artery type of cervical spondylopathy showed that the general vertebral artery was of stenosis, inner diameter 3 mm,the ways of middle piece of vertebra artery were bent, blood flow existed got slender at stenosis of lumen,RI and PI were increased,PI of cervical segment 1.48,RI of cervical segment0.75,RI of vertebral section0.71,PI of vertebral section1.23.When vertebral artery was of insufficiency and on the basis of stenosis, the velocity got low,the middle piece of PSV35 cm/s,Vm20 cm/s,EDV10 cm/s,and vertebra artery spectrum morphology was abnormal. Conclusion Because B-flow has high frequency and resolution, can directly reveal the hemodynamic changes, the anatomical structure of vascular wall and the surrounding organization, has no flow spillover, does not depend on scan angle, has no color sampling frame, reveal the vascular distribution and flow state in full screen,so it has great advantages in diagnosis of vertebral artery type of cervical spondylopathy.
