Improvement of diffraction efficiency for all-optical tunable wavelength filter by apodized photorefractive grating

A great improvement of diffraction efficiency in all-optical tunable holographic wavelength filters is shown by activating four corners of the material with photorefractive apodization method by optimizing the intensity ratio of the writing beams.
