A preparation method of flower-like magnesium oxide loaded with stannic oxide comprises the following steps: preparing a proper amount of a flower-like magnesium hydroxide template according to preparation quantity and stoichiometric ratio of flower-like magnesium oxide loaded with stannic oxide, preparing a proper volume of tin salt solution at the concentration of 0.01-0.2 mol/L and at the pH value of 5-7, adding the prepared flower-like magnesium hydroxide into the tin salt solution, stirring at 10-90 DEG C for 20-120 min, filtering, washing, drying at 60-100 DEG C for 60-240 min, and finally calcining the dried product at 400-1,000 DEG C for 30-240 min so as to obtain the final product. The synthesis time is short; implementation is simple; cost is low; and the product has a nanosheet-formed three-dimensional flower-like structure with high specific surface area and high porosity, especially with the loaded oxide particles uniformly, tightly and controllably attached to the flower-like magnesium oxide nanosheet.
