Method and apparatus for discovering central nodes in a wireless communication system

Embodiments of the present invention provides a method and apparatus for reducing power consumed in the search as the central unit in a terminal of a wireless communication system. According to one embodiment of the invention, the method of operation of a terminal for at least browsing a central device in a wireless communication system, to generate a search request signal to the process of transmission to the central unit, and transmitting the search request signal and after the process and the mode from the central unit transition to transition to the low power mode drive the user terminal in a low power mode in the normal mode in response as the instruction signal is received to the terminal from the low power mode, the process of transitioning to the normal mode; in said normal mode comprises the step of receiving a search response for the search request signal from the central unit.
