SUWARTI. Understanding of Dairy Farmers Towards Candida albicans in KUNAK Cibungbulang Kabupaten Bogor. Supervised by EKO SUGENG PRIBADI. Candida albicans is normal flora in the upper respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, genital tract, skin, nails, udders, and mucous membranes. C. albicans can cause health problems on dairy cows when population increase over normal. The study was taken to determine knowledge of farmers on the relationship between the length of period of breeding and the level of knowledge of dairy farmers of C. albicans yeast and its role in the health of dairy cattle. Fifty respondents consist of farm workers and owners at the Kawasan Usaha Ternak (KUNAK) Cibungbulang Kabupaten Bogor was observed the farmer knowledge about milking techniques; mastitis, especially mycotic mastitis; C. albicans and their important role to animal health; and farm sanitation. The results showed the farming experience did not affect to farmer knowledge about C. albicans role on animal health. However, they could be affected by farmer milking technique.
