4143 - NEAR THRESHOLD FATIGUE CRACK GROWTH SIMULATION

In this paper, we performed the numerical simulations by the proposed simplified model to explain the decrease in threshold stress intensity factor (SIF) range ∆Kth due to high maximum SIF Kmax. The results with tentative material resistances showed the validity of the proposed model, at least in the meaning that the decrease in ∆Kth by the increase with Kmax was simulated.
