The invention relates to a detection object volume calculation method for a volume measuring system. With the method, a defect that three-dimensional size information of a detection object can not be obtained can be solved. The method comprises: system presetting is measured; system state detection is carried out; bottom surface measuring information of a detection object is obtained; fitting and calculation of the bottom surface of the detection object are carried out; a height value of the detection object is measured and calculated; and the volume of the detection object is calculated. According to the invention, three-dimensional size information of a detection object can be obtained precisely; a model is established based on a fitting algorithm; the three-dimensional size information is obtained and then the volume of the detector is calculated. Therefore, the measuring precision and stability are improved.
