Incorporation of quantitative knowledge into genetic information systems

The paper describes necessary steps towards design and application of an integrated system for processing gene expression data using Gene Ontology annotations. It may be applied for gene selection or gene networks inference from microarray data. We prove that such system is feasible at the current state of knowledge and availability of data sources, however the full functionality requires also some input from domain experts in biology.
