The Muon g-2 experiment at Brookhaven

2001
The muon g-2 experiment at Brookhaven is designed to take advantage of very high proton intensity at the AGS to achieve sensitivity well below the contributions to g-2 from W and Z. The experiment will explore the possibility of new physics coupling to the muon at a mass scale of 5 TeV. This talk presents the experiment, results at 5 parts per million based on data collected in 1998, and data analysis of the 1999 data run which will have a statistical error of ±1.3 ppm.
