The Upper Paleozoic floras of Hotan area (Xinjiang Province, Northwest China), and their paleogeographical significance

1996
Significant fossil-plant remains were recorded from Upper Paleozoic outcrops in the Hotan area, at the SW border of the Tarim Basin, Xinjiang Province. The indisputable presence of the genus Paripteris Gothan, together with various taxa of Euramerian type, confirms the continental connections during early Late Carboniferous times and the probable migration routes of some Upper Carboniferous pteridosperms.
