The clinical observation of the effects of intensive insulin therapy on cytokine variation and outcome in postoperative septic patients with coronary heart disease

2010
Objective:To observe the outcome change of IL-6 and TNF-α in sepisis patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) post-operative by intensive insulin treatment.Methods:120 postoperative patients with CHD in sepsis were divided into two groups randomly. The control group(60 cases) were treated by routine treatment, and the observation group(60 cases) were treated by intensive insulin therapy based on routine treatment. The blood glucose were controlled within 4.4-6.1 mmol/L in the observation group and were controlled within 8-10 mmol/L in control group. Results:The outcome was obviously improved in the observation group than in the control group. The expressions of IL-6 and TNF-α were also obviously decreased with following treatment. The decrease value of IL-6 and TNF-α were higher in the observation group than in the control group. Conclusion:The treatment of intensive insulin can improve the outcome of postoperative patients with CHD in sepsis, decrease the expressions of IL-6 and TNF-α in patients with sepsis obviously. The treatment of intensive insulin is worthy of being recommended in septic patients with CHD post-operation.
