Bazı Gelişmiş Ülkelerde ve Türkiye’de Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı Hizmetlerinin Karşılaştırmalı Analizi

Objective: Oral and dental health is an important component of general health. Poor of oral health has negative effects on human’s health and human’s quality of life. The aim of this study is to provide information about Turkey’s oral and dental health policy and scope of practices along with some developed countries. Discussion and Conclusion: This review study was included Sweden, United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Japan, Canada, Australia, USA and Turkey. As a result, while oral and dental health care services are provided through private sector in countries such as Canada, Australia and the USA, vulnerable social groups (elderly, pregnant women, disabled, children etc.) are only coverega insurence in countries such as the UK and Denmark. However, Japan and Germany, which national insurance coverage is wide, provide these services to all citizens. The Social Security Institution's payment rate in Turkey for these services is low. Oral and dental health services are repayment when the service is taken from public sectors. Private sector mainly provide these services in Turkey.
