Nickel fibre felt electrode and process for its manufacture

The present invention relates to a nickel fibre felt electrode and its preparation method. It relates to an electrode material for making alkaline secondary cell, in particular for making nickel-hydrogen electrode and electrode material of nickel-cadium cell. It is characterized by that the electrode material is formed from superfine nickel fibre felts which are disorderly lapped together, and every fibre and some fibres are welded together in the form of point contact. Its preparation method is characterized by that it uses airstream method to make nickel fibre net, and adopts high-temp. vaccum sintering technology to make nickel fibre base board. Said invented nickel fibre electrode possesses the advantages of high porosity, large specific area, low internal resistance and long life, etc..
