Clinical Relevance The prognosis of severe cases of external cervical resorption is normally unfavorable due to the injury location and treatment difficulty, and in most cases, the injured tooth is indicated for extraction. It is extremely important to preserve the injured tooth in young patients both for the psychologic aspect and for maintaining function and esthetics.
