A method for preparing LiMPO4/C positive electrode material by deposition in molten fatty acids comprises the following steps: proportionally weighting soluble lithium compounds, transition metal compounds and phosphorus compounds to prepare into a solution, and adding the solution into the mixed molten fatty acids at a speed of 3-60 ml/min.kg; evaporating residual moisture, and cooling the fatty acids to room temperature; separating sediments, fully grinding and crushing, and then obtaining the LiMPO4/C positive electrode material by heat treatment for 6-10 h in the protection of a non oxidizing atmosphere at 500-800 DEG C; and a product prepared by the method has the advantages of uniformly distributed particles, high phase purity and excellent electrochemical performances.
