Wavelength Up-Conversion Using a Phonon-Assisted Excitation Process and Its Application to Optical Pulse-Shape Measurement

This chapter describes experimental results for wavelength up-conversion using a phonon-assisted excitation process with degenerate beams and nondegenerate beams in dye grains. Optical pulse-shape measurement is also introduced as a new application of the phonon-assisted excitation process.
