Transplante dental – relato de um caso clínico

The dental transplantations had their evolution in the modern era with HARLAND APFEL (1950) in California (USA), in spite of being accomplished during many centuries aiming to save the lost teeth. The professionals that dedicated most to this subject such as ANDREASEN (1992), in Denmark and MARZOLA (1997), in Brazil, brought a modern view through several research papers with dental germs showing the evolution and the importance of the interaction between Orthodontics and Surgery of dental transplantation, in the reestablishment of occlusion, with better esthetic and functional results. For this treatment, some important pre requirements are observed such as the preservation or non-preservation of the dental Saco-dental membrane, the importance of the selection of the dental germ and the absence of inflammatory reaction. Another very important aspect to be stood out is the most adequate moment for the accomplishment of the transplantation, considering mainly the development level of the dental germ. The dental transplantations are of proved election and efficacy when accomplished inside technical and criterial standards.
