Análisis y guía de valor para las viviendas Art Déco del Barrio de la Recolección en Guatemala

Las ferias internacionales y la reconstruccion de poblados impulsaron en Francia el traslado a la arquitectura de una estetica basada en la geometria y la ornamentacion, el Art Deco. En Guatemala, mientras tanto, un terremoto dejaria en ruinas a una capital que al levantar sus nuevas residencias lo haria liderada por arquitectos europeos que, junto a los profesionales locales graduados en el extranjero, extenderian los limites de la ciudad con la clara influencia del "estilo moderno". La principal via comercial, los cines y las grandes residencias son un ascendente sobre la vivienda popular, cuya composicion es el motivo de reflexion y analisis de este trabajo. EnglishThe Twentieth Century started with fast pace of events that allowed social, politic, and economic changes. The International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts and towns that were rebuilt in France, inspired and translated to architecture aesthetics based on geometry and ornamentation: Art Deco, and from there, it will conquer the whole world. Meanwhile, in Guatemala, an earthquake devastated a young capital that was left on ruins and that will be built again lead by European architects that, along with local professionals, will stretch the limits of the city with the influence of the "modern style". The main commercial street, la "Sexta Avenida': the theaters, and big mansions were a big influence on the low-cost homes, whose decoration is our main object of analysis.
