Simple Structure for Blue Organic Electroluminescent Device

We propose a new type of an organic EL device of which structure is simpler than those of conventional blue organic EL devices. We succeeded in eliminating an organic electron-transporting layer. Low driving voltage and long lifetime were realized by doping low work function metals into an emitting layer within the narrow region of the emitting layer/cathode interface.
