Disclosed are a method and device for fingerprint recognition and a terminal. The method comprises: consecutively capturing at least two images of the fingerprint of a target finger to acquire at least two copies of initial fingerprint image data of the target finger; calculating the average of pixel values of pixels corresponding to each copy of the initial fingerprint image data, mapping the average to the corresponding pixels to constitute target fingerprint image data, and recognizing the fingerprint on the basis of the target fingerprint image data.
