Equilibrium Distribution of Regional Population in China

2011
Distribution of the regional population in China is unbalanced. The density of population above the Hu′s line is the lowest, but the density of population below the Hu′s line exceeds the population load limiting regulated by United Nations. This gives rise to a variety of social problems and contradictions and is not conducive to the sustainable development of China′s economy. While the equilibrium distribution of the regional population is necessary,it is infeasible to enforce population migration. Therefore,it is suggested that the population should be conscientiously and rationally migrated to the regions above the Hu′s line by means of policy encouragement and cultural promotion to form an equilibrium development with economy, society, resources, and environment.
