Essential Oil of Astrodaucus orientalis (L.) Drude.

Abstract The essential oil of the aerial parts of Astrodaucus orientalis (L.) Drude. from Iran was isolated by hydrodistillation. The oil was analyzed by GC/MS. Of the 51 components detected, 40 (amounting to 95.6%) were identified. The dominant components were α-pinene (32.7%), α-fenchyl acetate (14.5%), β-pinene (8.5%) and bornyl acetate (7.9%).
