Method for processing color data measured from display device

A method for processing measured color data of a display device is provided. A method for processing measured color data of a display device is a method for measuring color displayed on a display device using a photodiode sensor having a filter and converting the generated measured color data into X, Y and Z values on a CIE color space, which includes: (a) a step of setting a conversion function (f) between measured color data and X, Y, Z values; (b) a step of obtaining the measured color data and setting an input value with reference to a preset look up table based on the measured color data; (c) a step of determining whether the input value is the root which satisfies the conversion function or not; (d) a step of setting an estimated value with reference to the look up table based on the input value, if the input value is not the root; and (e) a step of successively performing steps (c) to (d) by replacing the input value with the estimated value to make the estimated value satisfy the conversion function. In processing the measured color data of the image display device, a multivariable interpolation method, which is capable of processing non-normal distribution data to correct colors which are desired by a user, can be used.
