Survival Results of Thoracic Esophageal Carcinomas

Carcinoma of the esophagus is a devastating form of cancer. Early detection, corect evaluation, and appropriate and safe treatment comprise is one of the most formidable challenges for present-day surgical practices. This paper deals with the experience of a Western Team specializing in esophageal surgery on the carcinoma of the thoracic portion of the esophagus.
