Fast air humidity monitoring with THz signal stitching

2021
A method for THz signal stitching is developed to allow faster acquisition of long pulsed traces with the aim of improving spectral resolution in spectroscopic experiments. The humidity during the purging process of a THz spectrometer with dry air is monitored by looking at the absorption coefficient of water vapor at the first absorption peak. The proposed method is four times faster than lock-in amplifier acquisition when monitoring humidity levels.
