Position aware routing protocol for wireless sensors networks

2010
A Wireless Sensor Network consists of autonomous sensors that are spatially distributed and cooperate for the purpose of monitoring physical or environmental conditions, typically over wide areas. WSN's application areas vary and are related to monitoring, tracking and controlling such as habitat monitoring, traffic monitoring, object tracking, fire detection and nuclear reactor control. In this paper we introduced a theoretical model for a routing protocol in wireless sensor networks. We especially considered positioning, scalability and autonomy. We took into account several other papers on this topic (protocols, analysis, results), but brought original approaches in many key areas: identifiers, positioning, metrics.
