The invention provides a picture input image display device, of which the area of the electrode pad (2A) connected onto the signal line (SLO1) at each row (X direction)of the contact panel is getting smaller and smaller from left to right; the area of the electrode pad (2A) connected onto the signal line (SLO1) at each column (Y direction) is getting smaller and smaller in the direction of in Figure 1from bottom to top. The area of the electrode pad (2C) connected onto the signal line (SLO3) is getting bigger and bigger from left to right as well as from top to bottom. The area of the electrode pad 2B connected onto the signal line (SLO2) is invariable at each row, and the area at each column from top to bottom is getting smaller and smaller. Output of the signal line (SLO2), signal line (SLO1) as well as signal line (SLO3) is operated by a detection circuit, thereby obtaining coordinates of the touch locations.
