Liver Fibrogenesis in Chronic Viral and Alcoholic Liver Disease

Fibrosis is only one of a constellation of histologic features that characterize viral and alcoholic liver disease and is one given particular consideration, because it represents a potentially irreversible form of injury, for which there is little available therapy (1).
