Talking about the danger of over-voltage, simple analysis on the present application state of surge protective device (SPD) in lightning proof design and the principle of SPD,stress was on the application of SPD in lightning proof design and the use status of SPD in present electrical design, pointing out that the present specifications relevant to the use requirements for SPD should be further improved.
