Análise da implantação de um serviço de emergência psiquiátrico no município de Campos: inovação ou reprodução do modelo assistencial

This work has the proposition to analyse a mental’s health service in an emergency situation, located at Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ). Created in 1922, psychiatry emergency’s service had as objective to attend the psychiatry pacients in attak, serving like a different space of attention to this people, tending to diminish and avoid doing ‘unecessary’ internation. Working as a first-aid clinic during twenty-four hours, this service must be put in relief when is compare to the others, because it became reference in hospital’s and ambulatory’s sandings. The psychiatry assistance, therefore, would be mediated by a service that intend a transformation – from tradicional refuse model to a new that gives priority to humanization and a different assistance to the pacient. The basic approach of this work is in the chock that this ‘new’ service caused in municipal psychiatry assistance, in other words, if there was a rupture with the tradicional assistance model, on the point of thinking in a really new concept of mental health. Considering this ‘new’ model, we discuss the assistance model reproduction.
