Clinical observation of Promethazine in treatment of 120 patients with vertigo

Objective: To explore the efficacy of Promethazine in treatment of the patients with vertigo.Methods: 120 pa-tients with vertigo were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Patients of the treatment group were treated with Promethazine intramuscular injection,with supply of electrolytes and glucose.Patients of the control group were treated with Detahistine,Dansen Injection,or Low-Molecular Weight Dextran,together with Diazepam and Metoclo-pramide.Results: The improvement rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(96.8% vs 74.1%,P0.01).Conclusion: Promethazine is effective in the treatment of vertigo with a rapid response.
