Protection of Batf3‐deficient mice from experimental cerebral malaria correlates with impaired cytotoxic T cell responses and immune regulation
2019
Batf3‐deficient mice lack cross‐presenting dendritic cells that are crucial for CD8 T‐cell activation. Here we show that these mice are protected from experimental cerebral malaria upon infection with Plasmodium berghei ANKA. The protected mice showed a decreased cytotoxic response and signs of immune regulation.
