Induction-heating Treatment on Ends of Ceramic-lined P110 Steel Tube

2010
The ends of ceramic-lined P110 steel tube prepared by SHS-centrifugal technique were heat-treated at different cooling rates using induction-heating device. The microstructure and tensile properties of thread at ends of the tube were characterized using confocal laser microscopy and tensile testing machine. The results shows that the steel matrix microstructure of pipe,as the cooling rate increasing, changed from ferrite and pearlite to upper bainite, and the ultimate tensile load of thread position increased from 634 kN to 704 kN.
