A Novel Method for the Synthesisof 2-Trifluoromethylindoles from N-(o-Haloaryl)alkynylimines

Treatment of various types of N-( O-haloaryl)-alkynylimines in the presenceof Pd(PPh 3 ) 2 Cl 2 gave 2-trifluoromethylindolesin high yields. This approach provides a novel and facile accessto the biologically important fluorine-containing indole derivatives.
