Ga-67 uptake in the aorta in Wegener's granulomatosis: overlap with Takayasu's arteritis?

Ga-67 scintigraphy was performed in a 56-year-old woman with Wegener's granulomatosis. Abnormal uptake in the nasal cavity, kidneys, and the aortic arch was seen. CT showed thickening of the aortic wall, and overlap with Takayasu's arteritis was suspected. This case might be a polyangiitis overlap syndrome.
