Filter before Stolt migration of pulse signals measured by cross-borehole radar
2012
In this paper, the problem of clutter interference caused by leak energy from signal source in cross-borehole radar is presented. This kind of clutter interference reduces the quality of Stolt migration result. A method based on the frequency difference between signal and clutter is put forward to improve signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) and the corresponding infinite impulse response (IIR) band-pass filter is designed before Stolt migration. It is proved with field data that the filter improves the migration result and makes the signal energy more focused. (4 pages)
