Investigation of Basic Optical Properties of Tissue Phantoms Under 635 nm Low-Level Laser Irradiation

2020
In this study, the optical properties of Zerdine® phantom such as transmittance, absorbance, reflectance, refractive index, and optical attenuation coefficient have been determined by using two different methods. One method is based on optical power measurements made with and without phantom with a 635 nm laser in the homogeneous medium, while the other method is based on the determination of basic optical properties with a single integrating sphere system. As a result, it was determined that the data obtained by using a single integrated sphere system were closer to the actual data. Furthermore, similar optical properties were also calculated for Agar phantom with a single integrating sphere system.
