스탠딩데스크 사용 시 생체역학적 부하 최소화를 위한 인간공학적 중재
2021
Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate biomechanical responses of the low back pain developers (PDs) and non-pain developers (NPDs) while engaged with a conventional standing desk and an ergonomic intervention desk equipped with an arm support and a trunk leaning device for an hour. Background: Over the various advantages of the standing workstation, efforts to minimize the biomechanical cost in the standing posture was absent. Especially, it is necessary to study the PDs group, which is known to have a great effect on the use of standing desk. Method: Ten healthy males visited twice on different days for testing the effect of intervention, and were asked to perform the typing task. The dependent variables included low back pain symptoms visual analogue scale (VAS), movement index (MI) and co-contraction index (CCI). Results: VAS results clearly showed that the ergonomic intervention reduces development of the LBP. Both PDs and NPDs exhibited significantly higher MI value under the intervention condition, but only PDs expressed significantly higher CCI value under the intervention condition. Conclusion: From the biomechanical perspectives, the ergonomic intervention providing standing armrest and trunk supporter effectively reduces LBP by enabling users to have diverse and different posture and increasing the spine stability. Application: This result demonstrated the effectiveness of the ergonomic intervention that can alleviate LBP in workers who need to stand for a long time.
