Dialkyltin compounds have been widely used as biocides, catalysts and plastic stabilizers (Kimmel et al 1977). DBTC is the final product of the stabilization reaction of polyvinyl chloride resins and it is used as a catalyst for formation of polyurethane foam (Piver 1973).
