Effects of artificial Anaplasma marginale infection on biochemical and hemorheological parameters in calf.

2010
An artificial model of Anaplasma marginale infection in calf was established under immune suppression conditions.One-year old calf was treated with dexamethasone for a week at least and then injected intravenously with the A.marginale infected blood.Samples were collected and the blood biochemical and hemorheological parameters analyzed. Results showed that the glutamate pyruvate transaminase level and glutamic-oxal acetic transaminase level of the sera in the A.marginale infected calf was significantly higher than those of the control animals(p0.01),while the total cholesterol level and glucose level was markedly lower(p0.05).However,alkaline phosphatase, errum, blood urea nitrogen, lactate dehydrogenase L,α-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase and chromium levels were not significantly different(p0.05).The hemorheological parameters such as ηr(high) and IR,ηb30 s-1,ηb1 s-1 and ηr(low) levels were also lower than control(p0.05),but ηb200 s-1,ηp,PCV and AI levels were not significantly different(p0.05).
