Analysis of the small signal stability for the international space station/JEM electric power systems

2008
When designing a large-scale space power system using direct current such as international space station (ISS), special attention must be directed to the electric stability and control of the system and individual load on the systems. The principle of the stability criterion, a minimum gain and phase margin is based on the complex load and source impedances at the system interface. Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is responsible for the design of electric power system in Japanese Experiment Module (JEM). This paper describes the approach of the small signal stability analysis for the large-scale space power system showing NASA/JAXA joint ISS/JEM electric power system verification data.
