The anodic behavior of Pd electrodes in 1 M H2SO4

1981
Abstract The adsorption of oxygen on Pd in 1 M H 2 SO 4 is shown to compete with corrosion of the substrate and with diffusion of oxygen into the bulk. A correct description of the adsorption must account for a non-continuous change of the oxygen coverage with the potential. An attempt is made to find correlations between the gas phase and the electrochemical system.
