The invention discloses a transverse direction self-adaptation tracking device for an ultra-narrow gap MAG/MIG welding weld line. The transverse direction self-adaptation tracking device comprises a three-dimensional self-adaptation floating device connected with an ultra-narrow gap MAG/MIG welding gun base fixedly provided with an ultra-narrow gap MAG/MIG welding nozzle, and a tracking base is fixed to the ultra-narrow gap MAG/MIG welding nozzle. The transverse direction self-adaptation tracking device has the advantages that the structure is extremely simple, and the technology achieving cost is greatly reduced; all total systems are mechanical devices, the tracking effect is completely not disturbed by an electromagnetic field, or thermal radiation or optical radiation, high-temperature liquid metal splashing and other outside systems, and the ultrahigh interference resisting capability and extremely high reliability which are hard to achieve in the prior art are achieved; the couple arm error and the inclination error in the prior art are completely overcome, only one set of mechanical contact pressure sensors are enough for achieving self-adaptation tracking of three freedom degrees including the plane rotation, the transverse direction and the inclination at the same time, and the effect is not seen yet in the prior art.
